1. Why do you call your seminars Advances rather than retreats?
We believe it is time for marriages to Advance and not retreat. It is time to reclaim God's original Plan A design for marriage, intimacy and sexuality.

2. Who attends a Marriage Advance?
REAL LIFE Marriage Advances are attended by a variety of people. We meet couples who are doing well and want to go to the next level, as well as those in need of support and encouragement. We welcome engaged couples and those who are seriously dating.

3. What does the Marriage Advance schedule look like?
Friday night-
Session 1 - Forgiveness
We believe forgiveness defines us. This session explores the life and power available to those who understand forgiveness and choose to walk it out in REAL LIFE.

Saturday -
Session 2- Intimacy with God
This foundational session explores God's Plan A design and purposes for marriage. We revisit truths introduced in the Bible. We challenge every person to choose to live in the larger story with God as the main character and live out "it's not about me."

Session 3- Intimacy with your spouse
This session explores practical aspects of intimacy and friendship. We address men and women's hearts and roles. We explain the importance of understanding love and respect. We provide practical prayer applications and challenge couples to leave with a strategic prayer strategy for their marriage.

Saturday Afternoon -
Session 4 & 5- Intimacy & Sexuality
These sessions explore sexuality in REAL LIFE ways. We cover a variety of topics. A few include: God's purposes for sex, steps of intimacy, sexual histories, and soul ties. We address sensitive sexual topics including: sexual agreements, orgasms, masturbation, oral sex, lust, and pornography. We believe the Church must Advance in training & equipping men and women in their understanding of sexuality.

Saturday Evening -
Session 6- Covenants
This session gives a biblical definition of covenant. At the close of the evening couples are led through a renewal ceremony. This session celebrates God's original design for marriage.

4. Where are Marriage Advances held?
Marriage Advances can be held almost anywhere. Hosting an Advance at a local church is the most common choice. REAL LIFE has hosted Advances at hotels, camps, and retreat centers.

5. Does REAL LIFE ministries offer any other training?
Yes, in addition to our Marriage Advances, we train parents and young adults in Intimacy & Sexuality. Tim also leads Real Life Men's Advances.
