Following are questions to consider in your decision-making process.

  1. Have you prayed about what you are considering? [Philippians 4:6; 2 Corinthians 10:5]
  2. Is what you are considering consistent with the principles in the Bible? [1 Corinthians 2:25; James 1:5 NIV]
  3. Is what you are considering affirmed by other godly people? [Proverbs 11:14]
  4. Will what you are considering bring glory to God? [Colossians 3:17]
  5. Will what you are considering positively impact God’s kingdom? [Matthew 6:33]
  6. How does what you are considering relate to God’s will for your life? [1 Thessalonians 5:16–18]
  7. Do you have peace about what you are considering? [Philippians 4:7 ESV]
  8. Do you have unity with your spouse [both have green lights]? [Genesis 1–2]
  9. Will what you are considering cost you something? [Luke 18:29–30]
  10. Does what you are considering agree with your life calling and mission? [Ephesians 4:1 ESV; 2 Timothy 1:9]
  11. Does what you are considering come from a pure heart? [1 Samuel 16:7; Luke 6:45]
  12. Does what you are considering come from a place of love? [Matthew 22:37–40]
